Ti Chu is a professional animal glamour photographer based in Los Angeles. With background in high end studio commercial photography combined with her special connection with animals, Animalia was born. Growing up with many animals such as dogs, cats, pigs, birds, chickens, snakes... Ti has always have a gift of communicating with animals, especially with dogs. Since young she has volunteered in animal shelters and rescues. She also has rescued many stray animals off the street and nursed them back to health in her home.
Animalia is much inspired by Mochi and beloved Taco. Mochi was a dog on death row in a high kill shelter, Ti and her wife picked him out just about in time. Taco was a malnourished dog she and her wife rescued off the street, nursed him back to life and gave him a forever home. Taco passed away in 2019 due to cancer at age of 12 and he had a wonderful life. In fact Ti was rescued by these two, they not only inspired but also gave her a purpose: to help animals in need. Ti now lives in Los Angeles with her wife and their dog Mochi.
Ti is also dedicated to her 100% non - profit “Animalia Ti Chu Photography x Shelters/ Rescues” Project. She frequently travels to local L.A animal shelters and rescue groups and offers free professional photography service to take pictures of their adoptable animals. She strives not only to help promote the animals and their stories in order for them to be adopted; but also to educate and influence the public’s perception about ADOPT DON’T SHOP movement.
By booking photo sessions for your pets, you are helping Animalia Ti Chu Photography to help animals in need. A large part of her profit if not all goes directly to helping animal shelters and rescues with these charity photoshoots. Animalia is Ti’s platform to raise more public awareness and inspiration how little actions can make a significant impact on other beings. Ti’s goal is to capture the unique essence of every animal and their own unique story. Through Animalia the art of universal non verbal communication between all Earth species is conveyed.
